Planting trees by students from Lekpoort College in Vianen
The students joining us in the field today will be completing their HAVO exams in May. To celebrate this milestone, they planted their own graduation trees, as well as trees on behalf of their fellow students, 184 trees in total. The event was officially opened by the municipal councillor, who joined the students in the field and planted the first trees, together with the school director. The students were incredibly enthusiastic and efficient, managing to plant all 184 trees within just one hour. The school organised the entire event themselves: from the logistics to the selection of tree species (with some support from the municipality). Life Terra was present to support the planting and to share with the students why planting trees is so important. Because securing your future is not only about graduating from school — it is also about taking care of the environment and investing in a greener, more resilient world.
