Collective action can have a more significant impact. By joining forces, we bring tree planting and its importance in combating climate change into the spotlight.
On a sunny winter day near Berlin, the volunteers from ClimatePartner, their network of clients, and team members from Life Terra met for the first time in person—out in the field, planting trees together.
ClimatePartner invited several client companies from the region to join the event, giving participants the chance to experience firsthand what it is like to plant young trees, and help restore a healthy forest ecosystem. The fenced planting area receives 6,800 new saplings representing 18 different species—a highly biodiverse mix designed to improve ecological resilience, support a wide range of fauna, and reduce risks associated with pests, diseases, and climate-related stress.
During this volunteer day, our group focused on planting five deciduous species: hornbeam, large-leaved lime, sweet chestnut, sycamore maple, and wild cherry. Together, these species will help create a diverse and future-proof forest structure.
Life Terra extends a heartfelt thank-you to ClimatePartner for their ongoing support—and that of their clients—for planting projects across Europe. This marked our second joint planting project in the Berlin region, and it was a great opportunity to strengthen collaboration while contributing tangibly to forest restoration.
We look forward to many more opportunities to grow climate impact together.
