Family Planting in Las Rozas 2025
The new planting season started with the fifth edition of the Las Rozas Family Planting! This event manages to gather thousands of people year after year in this municipality in the outskirts of Madrid, in where families can enjoy a day of planting, sustainability workshops for children and even live music and dance!
This year we managed to plant 1630 plants of 14 different native species in a degraded slagheap, helping to restore not only biodiversity within the municipality, but also landscape values and soil fixation. Initiatives like this are key to promote healthier and greener urban areas, creating areas with higher natural and aesthetic values.
A special thanks to the Jovenes Voluntarios de Las Rozas, who, again, attended Life Terra's workshop on planting and assisted the numerous families that attended. Of course, a very special thanks to Las Rozas Municipality and its mayor, Jose de la Uz, for promoting these initiatives in where the local commuity can engage in environmental education and ecological restoration.
