Collective action can have a more significant impact. By joining forces, we bring tree planting and its importance in combating climate change into the spotlight.
The event was an outstanding success! Every student arrived proudly carrying their customized yogurt pots, ready to take part in this meaningful activity. Our Headmaster and Eco-School Coordinator opened the event by explaining its importance and how it contributes to our community and environment.
Under the guidance of our gardener, the younger students helped cover the roots with soil, learning firsthand what our “two new members” need to thrive: clean soil, fresh water, plenty of sunlight, and—most importantly—respect.
We were also supported by two of our Baccalaureate CAS students, who assisted both teachers and students during the seed planting process. Together, they filled the pots with soil, made small holes, and carefully selected seeds from a variety that included sunflowers, carob, pumpkin, lentils, and beans.
This experience was more than just planting—it was about nurturing a sense of responsibility and belonging. We hope these values will stay with our students for many years to come.
