Collective action can have a more significant impact. By joining forces, we bring tree planting and its importance in combating climate change into the spotlight.
Worpse Weelde is a food forest initiative located on the border of Deventer in the Netherlands. The project aims to create a space where visitors can enjoy fruits, nuts, and herbs, fostering a connection with nature and promoting learning, collaboration, and enjoyment. In November 2024, Worpse Weelde participated in Treevember, a campaign organized by The Pollinators, to raise funds for planting the first trees in their food forest. Planting days were scheduled for November 30, 2024, from 9:30 to 12:30, and on several Saturdays in December. Community members were invited to participate by bringing spades or shovels to assist with the planting activities.
