Collective action can have a more significant impact. By joining forces, we bring tree planting and its importance in combating climate change into the spotlight.
During our first event at the Unesco World Heritage location of De Maasheggen, we planted around 700 trees with our partner BLG. Despite the snow, the participants were able to plant a beautiful new hedge that will contribute to this unique and biodiverse ecosystem.
This project close to the village of Oeffelt was organised by Maasheggen Mooi. This is an initiative by Lars van Peij, who has sadly been diagnosed with Huntington disease. He is therefore trying to plant as many new hedges as possible, to have a positive legacy for his son and the area he will grow up in.
We are very happy to be able to support this amazing effort. Please check out Maasheggen Mooi to help Lars with this beautiful initaitive. We also want to thank BLG for all their efforts during this lovely tree planting event.
