For our first event of 2025 twenty-five enthuastic students from the school were joined by eight adult volunteers in the winter sunshine to plant 475 native trees and shrubs. Although some surface weeds had rooted in the mulch the soil beneath was relatively warm with lots of worms near the surface. The transition year (TY) students worked really hard and we completed that task in almost record time. Following the event we were treated to tea/coffee and sandwiches. Another Stepping Stone Forest, and the first in 2025 was successfully planted.
