Agora Portals International School planting tree day!!
Today, our two classes of 5-year-old students arrived at the designated planting area near the entrance of our school, so we expect them to show their parents and show them their tree.
They were thrilled to see our gardener, Juanma, prepared with the trees, soil, gloves, shovels, watering cans, and everything needed for the planting activity.
Once there, we asked the children why trees are so important and what they need to live. A variety of enthusiastic answers emerged: “They need water,” “They give us fruit”, “They don’t like plastic,” and “They clean the air.”
After this discussion, all the students helped Juanma by adding soil around the trees and stamping the ground to keep it firm. Some even picked up bits of litter they found nearby, proudly declaring that the trees wouldn’t like that. It was a wonderful day of learning and teamwork, and we can’t wait to watch our trees grow!
